Lorin Ashton aka Bassnectar is a great example of how an artist can use newsletters to engage his fans. On a regular basis Bassnectar sends updates about recent and upcoming gig’s but also production news. If you’re into Bassnectar’s bass heavy dubstep sound, I recommend...

Von Kiss announced an exclusive BimTaks.com mix at the end of last year, but finding time to work on the mix between meetings, tours and studio time seemed to be a difficult task. Weeks past, but still nothing. Untill yesterday! A file entered my inbox. Bass Talk was the subject! When...

Looking back at 2011,their are certain names which come to mind who entered the big league's. Gesaffelstein and TAI are in my opinion amongst these chosen ones. But their's one guy who took the edm-scene buy storm in 2011; Skrillex! Coming from out of nowhere he became top dog! I like his work, so fair enough to give him the credits he deserves. Here is a set from Skrillex, recorded at the Moon, Tallahasse. With a bit of background (audience feedback) noise, the quality is a bit weak. But never the less a fine piece of music to share with you'll!

Canadian bassline slayers Zeds Dead drop a heavy guestmix for BBC Radio One DJ Rob Da Bank! With the short length of the mix in mind (20 min.), you'll be guessing a one man show. But nothing of that, besides a few Zeds Dead productions Kill the Noise, Kastle and Breakage also have a piece of this bass heavy pie. Get cracking!

The west London duo 16Bit deliver an absolutely HUGE mix for Dazed Digital, the online relative of Dazed & Confused Magazine. Drenched in all things bass, this 16Bit mix is collection of emotions. From Joker's On my mind and Katy B's Broken Records to Noisia's frequency cracking remix of Earthquake, the rough hiphop voice of Nine and heavyness by TC and Camo & Krooked. This. Is. Big!
