Line-Up 5 Days Off Amsterdam

Besides ADE and a handful outdoor festivals, Amsterdam is host of 5 Days Off. An electronic music and arts festival founded in 2001 as a spin-off of Belgium’s 10 day’s off . Each year the organisation differentiates the festival line-up by presenting an healthy mix of established names, lesser-known DJs and a fair amount of talent.

This year 5 Days Off will kick-off on Wednesday the 7th of March and close on Sunday the 11th. Melkweg and Paradiso are the places to be. With the line-up of the festival almost locked, let’s have a closer look at some of the party’s.

5 Days Off – SBTRKT

Wednesday, Melkweg
The eyecatcher on Wednesday is SBTRKT. Alongside guys like Presk, Falty DL and Redhino, this London producer will bring his trademark sound of dubstep, 2-step and chigaco house to the one’s and two’s.

5 Days Off – Gaslamp Killer, Hudson Mohawke

Thursday, Paradiso
Already looking forward to this one: Gaslamp Killer and Hudson Mohawke. Both love Amsterdam and Amsterdam loves these guys. I’m expecting something special! Not really into the bass sound these two bring? Then maybe Jeff Mills is more in your alley. This legendary techno DJ will celebrate the 20th anniversary of his Axis label.

5 Days Off – Circus Records

Friday, Paradiso
Sweet Shop was the big breakthrough of Circus Records breakthrough, since then ain’t no stopping these guys. Doctor P will preform alongside Cookie Monsta, Roksonix and more. You know what’s up: bass in you face!

5 Days Off – Noisia

Saturday, Melkweg
For the first time in almost two years Hollands #1 drum & bass act Noisia is back. For this special occasion they’ve invited a shitload DnB acts to give Amsterdam a night to remember. This is event is at Paradiso, but Melkweg is having an electro legend: The one and only Huoratron!
